Gift of the Little Things

The Gift of the Little Things.

This morning when I opened my eyes I realized that I could breathe!  WOW!  It's amazing when you've been congested for so long how good it feels to just breathe.  Every day we take the gift of the little things for granted.  I have allergies, so when I went to an allergist to get tested I found that I was allergic to everything outside.  The allergist told me I was only breathing at 60-70%.  He gave me shots, nose sprays, etc. and I was amazed what breathing at 100% felt like!  For those of us with constant pain of some sort, isn't it amazing when you have that moment when nothing hurts! Same with when you get glasses or contacts for the first time and you realize what it's like to really see!  We just assume that when we board our flight and it takes off that it's going to land safely.  We don't know the science nor mechanics behind it, but we just assume that it's all going to work, and the plane will land safely.  I have resolved to thank God for every moment and every gift and not to take anything for granted.  Sometimes I find myself saying, Lord, I thank you that right now at this moment I feel great.   This doesn't mean that the next moment you might not feel well, see well, move well, etc.  But let's praise Him for all the little things that we take for granted.

Happy Sunday Saints!  It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood today!
