I’m 5'2” on my tallest day. The okra is now 6-7’ tall and the last of the harvest is at the top. Needless to say it’s a bit of a stretch for me to reach the okra pods at the top. I have to stretchhhhh…… Sometimes God puts our blessings just a little bit out of our reach to stretch us, to grow us. The key is to be sure that the stretch is from God and not a result of our own doing. Of saying yes when we should have said no. Of not being able to admire without acquiring. “Before you try to climb the ladder of success, make sure it’s leaning against the right wall.” But when you know your stretch is the result of God’s blessing, then don’t let doubt and fear constrain you. Fear is our worst enemy. When God calls us to something, He will give us the tools to accomplish the task. I have to remind myself of this daily. I must constantly look to what He can do through me rather than what I can do myself. I must allow myself to be stretched, knowing that the result will be a stronger, better me. Stretchhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!
