About Me

I Am Karen Taylor Jefferson.

I am a small town Mississippi girl trying to find my way in these United States of Texas.  I take great pride in being a "country" girl and wear my familial roots proudly.  I am often thought of as radical, introvert, strong willed, and a little bit crazy.  Proudly spoiled by my Daddy, my brothers and my husband, I can at times be selfish. I am passionate about health and fitness, disease prevention, eating clean and living well.  I find joy in the quiet moments of the sunrise, the sound of the waves and the magnificence of the sunset.  I long to see the world in all it's glory.  From the mountain tops to the rolling seas.  From the desert sands to lush green gardens. Who can adequately describe the amaziness of His creation? I cannot! Creation sings His praises and so will I.  I hear His voice in the stars, the trees, the wind and the sand. I feel Him move with every wave of the sea. In creation, I am at peace. And so, I sow.  To find wisdom in the soil beneath my feet, the sprouting of the seed and the wonder of the harvest.

I Am My Father's Garden.

Personal Vision: To daily seek God’s will for my life and live within it.  To be a change agent who challenges the status quo.  To be a voice of reason and an outspoken critic of racial and social injustice.  To be an influence in changing lives. To serve God’s people wherever and however He leads me.

Life Values:

Service:  I am convinced that God has called me to serve His people.  Simply.  Basic Needs.   Individuals.

Influence:  I have the opportunity to positively influence someone on a daily basis.  I seek God’s direction in using that opportunity wisely and to His glory.

Collaboration:  The power of many is often overlooked in the arrogant pursuit of “inventedhereism”.  I choose to be a resource in collaboration towards the collective goal of serving God’s people.

Continuous Learning and Improvement:    I hope to never become complacent in learning and becoming a better person spiritually, mentally and physically.
