Happy Sunday Saints

Beyond the Darkness

It would appear that the day has been overtaken by clouds. But if you look far in the distance, you can see a patch of sunshine. Though shrouded by the clouds, there is evidence that the sun still shines. Often, this is how our daily life is. It may appear that we’ve been overtaken by darkness. Yet, if we seek Him, we will find that He is still there. Still in control. Evidence that the Son still lives and the sun will indeed shine again.

Giving Thanks

IMG_0288.jpg

When you wake up to a morning like this, how can you not be thankful!?!? Yes, I am in my happy place and yet again HE has met me here. So many things have happened over the last year. So many losses. So many fears. So many tears. So many….so many. But when I look back over it all, I can’t but help give thanks. Thanks for the loved ones I’ve loss because I am so very blessed to have had them in my life. Thanks for miracles of good health reports that could have easily gone differently. Thanks for a circle of friends and family who love and support me through all of it. Thanks for the blessing of kids who call me “Mom” though I did not birth them. Thanks for good work that supports not only my needs but most of my desires. Thanks for the Lemon Tree that has taught me so many lessons. Thanks for the blessing to be able to just sit here and soak up the glory of His creation.

Have you ever looked back on an incident that occurred and saw how it could have gone so differently? You just know that you were protected from a really bad situation. I have a couple of those and when I look back it scares the life out of me when I see clearly how badly that situation could have gone but didn’t. But for HIS grace and mercy!

If you live in a lot of pain, have you had that one day or even that one moment where you were pain free and you had to just say Thank you Lord for this moment!

Have you ever had a really good night sleep so much that you wake up and have to just give thanks for the sheets and the mattress! Let me tell you, there is nothing like cool, pressed sheets over a good plush mattress. It will make you shout Hallelujah! I had one of those last night and wanted to just sleep all day because I didn’t want to leave the mattress.

There are so many thanks loss in the little things. Don’t ignore them! Stop and just look around. Observe. Remember. Give thanks for the big things and for the little things. Give thanks for things that “didn’t” happen. Thank Him for THIS day. For THIS moment.

I am thankful to all of you who regularly stop and give notice to the random voices in my head. I pray that this upcoming week will be one of rest, joy and thanksgiving for you and yours.

Happy Sunday Saints!
